Mike spent his years with the North Park baseball team as one of the most dominant pitchers in program history. A three-year starter as a right-handed pitcher, he was a 1st Team All-CCIW selection in 2009 and 2010. 

Mike earned Rawlings American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) honors as a First Team selection in 2009 and 2010. During those standout seasons, he was also an MLB Draft selection in 2009 by the Minnesota Twins (26th round) and 2010 (14th round) by the Kansas City Royals. He spent his affiliated career (2010-2012) making stops with the Arizona Royals, Idaho Falls, Burlington, NC and Kane County affiliates with the Royals. His best season in the MiLB occurred in 2012 with Kane County where he was 5-3 as a relief pitcher. Mike struck out 142 hitters in 138 innings in his 32 appearances.

No slouch in the classroom, Mike was also recognized in multiple years as a CCIW All-Academic selection.

Mike finalized his professional baseball career with the Schaumburg Boomers where he was 9-7 as a starter and named the Frontier League Championship Series Most Valuable Player.

Since concluding his career, Mike has been serving as a police officer and was recognized for outstanding service in his department.
