Dana Gooris Wells

Wells earned a bachelor of arts in sociology from the University. She earned four letters in softball, and was captain of the University team in 1999. Wells was 1997 CCIW batting champion, and was twice named CCIW All-Conference. She is ranked top five all-time in six batting categories, including hits, runs batted in, home runs in a season and doubles, and is ranked first with seven triples in one season and 15 career triples. Wells holds three letters in basketball and was North Park's 1999 Female Senior Athlete of the Year. She was an admissions counselor and assistant softball coach at North Park from 2000-2003. Dana and her husband, Ryan, are parents of three children, Brady, Casey and Avery. The family resides in Glenview, Ill., where Dana is a self-proclaimed soccer mom. She works as a stylist at Hot Mama, a Minneapolis-based clothing boutique chain founded by a North Park University alumnus. Wells is an active member of St. Timothy Lutheran Church, Skokie, Ill.

Wells and her father, Dan Gooris, are the first father/daughter inductees in the Vikings Hall of Fame, Surridge said. Gooris was inducted previously for achievements in baseball and football.
