North Park University Athletics

Dr. Jack Surridge has served as the Director of Athletics at North Park University since 1996. During his tenure, his focus has been on the improvement of facilities, staff, and programs. The River Park Soccer/Track complex was completed in 2000 and renovated in 2013. The Holmgren Athletic Complex was dedicated in 2004 and renovated in 2017. The Helwig Recreation Center was opened in the fall of 2006 and the WMS Rowing Center was dedicated in 2013.

Dr. Surridge also worked as the North Park Women's Basketball head coach from 1996-2008 where his teams saw eight tournament championships. He also served as a Genetics Instructor from 1998-2008.

Casting a very wide net in his coaching career, Dr. Surridge has coached football, women's basketball, baseball, and softball. He has a combined record of 571-397.
