Nominated by Dr. Dennis Bricault, Esplin was a three-year starting pitcher for the Vikings.  From 1967-69, his career 1.74 earned run average is good for second all-time, and his 123 strikeouts in 161 career innings pitched are good for 16th and  25th, even though his North Park teams never played more than 23 games in a season.  His stingy 1.22 earned run average in 1968 is still 4th in the single season record books, and his identical 2.02 marks in 1967 and 1969 are tied for 8th.  A two-way player having earned team MVP honors in both 1968 and '69, his .308 batting average and .423 slugging percentage were second on the team in 1968.  A loyal North Parker, he is an active member of the Baseball Diamond Club and the founder of North Park University's Sports Management Program.  George coached 15 years in the Lake Forest Youth Baseball Association, as well as having coached football and basketball at the junior high school level, and high school baseball. George serves as Vice President for Morgan Stanley Wealth Management.
