River Forest, Il., -- North Park Track and Field dominated numerous events this weekend at the Cougar Invitational hosted by Concordia University, seeing four athletes finish in first place of their respective events.
First place finishers:

Women's Pole Vault: Julia Klein dominated the competition with a clearance of 3.76m. This season-best mark isn't just a win—it currently ranks her 23rd in all of DIII, putting her in a strong position for the national conversation.

Women's 1500m: Marley Gandee showed her strength in the middle distance, taking 1st place in the Women's 1500m with a composed time of 5:03.08.

Women's Long Jump: Kimoria Oliver set a new personal best of 5.17m to secure her 1st place finish.

Women's Javelin: Rounding out the victories, Kayna Kanemoto took home the win in the Javelin with a toss of 36.76m.
Women's Results:
- 100m: Riana Hayes (3rd), Chloe Chesser (4th), and Jaclyn Little (7th) provided strong finishes in a 19 person heat. Hayes ran a season best 12.49s time, with Chesser finishing right behind her at 12.66s, while Little ran a personal best 13.00s.
- 200m: Little notched another personal best with a 27.73s finish, good for 2nd place in a 12 person heat.
Men's Results:
- 100m: Darrius Whiters finished 9th out of a massive 43-runner field in with a time of 11.22s.Â
- 200m: Jordan Brazil placed 10th of 51 with a strong 22.73s finish.
- 800m: Leonardo Gonzalez (3rd) and Sam Henle (4th) set a season best and a personal best, respectively, as Gonzalez finished with a 2:02.73 time and Henle with a 2:03.41 time. Â
- 1500m: In the distance race, Ali Karatas finished 5th of 12 with a season best 4:30.22 time.
- Javelin: Gabriel Thede earned himself another top five finish, placing 2nd with a massive throw of 48.11m.
- Discus: Richard Covington threw for 5th place with a distance of 37.47m on his throw.
The Vikings seem to be in a rhythm spanning across events, and peaking at the right time will be beneficial as they head into the CCIW Outdoor Championships next weekend that are being hosted by Carthage College. The meet will span across two days, starting on May 1st at 10am. Â
