WHEATON, Ill. -- North Park Track & Field had a number of quality performances at the Wheaton Invitational on Saturday, including a first-place finish for Jereme Ombogo in the 400m.
Ombogo set a personal record in the 400m Race, crossing the line at 48.25 to finish first and account for one of just four sprinters to break 50. Ombogo also competed in the 200m where he ran a 21.87 to place fifth of 71 sprinters.

Ubayd Kromwell enjoyed an emergence in the Javelin, smash a personal record with a 52.19m heave to place second in a field of 37 competitors. The Vikings showed well in the Javelin, as John Sassan was fourth (51.69m) and Hans Hoglund was right behind him in fifth with a PR of 51.24m. For the women, Johanna Soedergaard was the top Javelin thrower with a 28.33m.
Mason Wilson landed the Shot Put 12.08m to place 16th of 34.
Riana Hayes was the runner up in the 100m Sprint, crossing the line at 12.22. She was also third of 85 runners in the 200m, crossing the line at 24.96. Meja Lindberg was fifth in that race, setting a personal record with a 25.38.
The North Park Women's 4x100m Relay Team of Marianna Costa, Hayes, Thea Ring, and Lindberg were the runners up by just under a second, smashing a North Park record with a 46.49.
