CHICAGO, Ill. -- Junior right hander Brandon Leidolph was nearly unhittable in a start at Webster last Saturday, earning a spot on the D3baseball.com National Team of the Week. Leidolph was one of four starting pitchers across Division III to secure national recognition on Wednesday morning.
Leidolph tossed seven shutout innings and punched out nine Gorlok hitters in his start last Saturday, keeping a no hitter into the sixth inning. He allowed just one hit against 24 batters faced in the hard luck no decision.
The 2024 All-CCIW selection leads the Vikings with a 2.45 ERA and .139 Batting Average Against in his two starts this season, allowing just one extra-base hit in 41 batters faced.
