CHICAGO, Ill. -- Sophomore shortstop Taylor Joseph added another accolade to his strong second year of college baseball, earning Third Team All-Region honors by D3baseball.com on Tuesday morning.
Joseph was a game-changing shortstop for Coach Luke Johnson's squad this season. The All-College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) first teamer never saw his 2026 batting average dip below .400 once the conference season started, concluding the season with a .404 batting average. The five-tool player from Johnson Creek, Wisconsin slugged .652 with 47 runs scored, 10 doubles, 3 triples, and 8 home runs while adding 46 RBI. He drew 25 walks and collected 65 hits while assisting on 114 outs from shortstop.
Joseph hit for the cycle against Carthage and enjoyed 20 different multi-hit games including eight with 3+.
He added 16 games with at least one extra-base hit and scored a run in 29 different games.
The 2026 season marks the 14th season that D3baseball.com has named All-Region teams, with more than 1,000 players nominated. The ballot was then made available to D3baseball.com staff and contributors from which three teams in each region were determined. Nominations were submitted by each institution's Sports Info/Athletic Communications staff.
