NAPERVILLE, Ill. -- Meja Lindberg, Riana Hayes, and Thea Ring highlighted some top performances for the North Park Women's Track & Field Team at North Central's Chicagoland Intercollegiate on Friday.
Ring was the top performer in the 60m Hurdles, racing a season-best mark of 8.97 to showcase as one of just two sub 9.0 performers. She duplicated that performance in the finals, with an 8.98, securing the top spot among Division III competitors and placing second only to UIC's Nyarai Terry who ran an 8.94. Ring also ran a season best time of 57.61 in the 400m to place second to NCC's Lindsey Novak.
Hayes and Lindberg qualified for the 60m Finals with respective marks of 7.85 and 7.92 in the Prelims. Hayes ran the exact same time in the Finals to place third while Lindberg improved on her time with a PR of 7.87. Hayes also placed third in the 200m with a 25.90 as the second-best Division III sprinter in the event.
