North Park hosts the Millikin Big Blue on Wednesday, October 22, looking to climb the CCIW ranks.
North Park (18-7, 2-3 CCIW) enters the contest riding momentum from a weekend sweep at 19th-ranked University of Chicago, where the Vikings posted back-to-back wins over Denison and UChicago. Fifth-year opposite hitter Kharlie Simeona-French continues to lead the charge, tallying 19 kills and 28 digs across the doubleheader. Junior middle blocker Meg Rothermel added 18 kills and 8 blocks, while junior setter Kendal Britton orchestrated the offense with 56 assists and 6 service aces, leading to another CCIW Weekly honor.
Millikin (10-10, 3-1 CCIW) comes to Chicago fresh off a five-set thriller over Augustana, where the Big Blue overcame a two-set rally to win 3-2. Senior outside hitter Addison Oyer led with 16 kills, while Delaney Higgins added 15 kills and 18 digs. Setter Alyssa Frederking posted 25 assists, and Samantha Breckenridge chipped in 20.
