CHICAGO, Ill. – Junior outfielder Alex DiVito (Bloomfield Hills, Mich., Bloomfield Hills) left no stone unturned in his season-opening doubleheader last Saturday, earning a spot on the first 2024 D3baseball.com National Team of the Week on Monday morning.

In the Vikings' two games, DiVito went 6-for-8 at the plate with a double, home run, and four runs scored. He also stole three bases, made three putouts in center field, and led NPU to a 9-1 win over Covenant. In the game two win, DiVito was 4-for-5 with three runs scored and a pair of stolen bases.

DiVito was the second-leading run producer for the Vikings in 2023, driving in 26 runners while slashing five doubles and a home run.
