WAUKESHA, Wis. -- Sophomore sprinter Jereme Ombogo was named the CCIW Male Track Athlete of the Meet after earning the top spot in both the 200m and 400m CCIW Outdoor Championships this past weekend. Ombogo crossed the line at 48.36 in the 400 and 21.34 in the 200.

Highlights from the Championships

• Ombogo's 200 time of 21.34 sets a new school record and is currently ranked 20th in Division III track
• Additionally, Ombogo was the men's highest point scorer to earn Male Track Athlete of the Meet Honors
• Esther Miller was the highest point scorer for the Vikings, with her best finish coming in the 400m hurdles (2nd, 1:07.21)
• Pati Miazek is now 2nd in NPU history in the 10K (37:45.43)
• Ubaydullah Kromwell was an Elite 26 award winner, earning fourth-place finishes in the 110m decathlon hurdles and 1500m run
• Clark Fremouw was 2nd in the discus (47.46m), 5th in the shot put (14.72m), and 6th in the hammer throw (50.37m)
• The men's 4x400 team set a school record with a time of 3:21
