NAPERVILLE, Ill. – Pati Miazek of North Park has been chosen as the first College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Women's Cross Country Student-Athlete of the Week for the 2022 season, the league announced Tuesday afternoon.
 
Miazek won the inaugural Rock River Invite last Thursday, finishing the 5K course in a time of 19:22.3. The senior from Warsaw, Poland established a lead in the first 400 meters of the course, plagued by right turns, elevation changes and difficult footing. She maintained a lead of at least 100 meters for the duration of the season-opening event.
