KENOSHA, Wis. – North Park Cross Country competed at the Vic Godfrey Open on Friday afternoon on the Wayne E. Dannehl National Cross Country Course.

The women's 4K saw Johanna Soedergaard and Emma Klein finish near the top half of 72 competitors with respective placings of 40th and 43rd. Soedergaard's time was 18:07.7 while Klein finished at 18:18.7.

For the men, Ali Karatas was the top finished for NPU, placing 27th in a field of 70 competitors with a time of 20:35.2 in the 6K, setting a new personal record. Kai Foote finished at 57 and Giovanni Martinez placed 60. Both respective times of 23:12.9 and 24:03.2 were PR's.

The Vikings head to Warrenville, Illinois to compete at the Gill Dodds Invitational at St. James Farm. The race begins at 9:00 AM CT.
