CHICAGO, Ill. -- The North Park Cross Country men's and women's teams opened their seasons with a co-hosted invite alongside Concordia-Chicago on Friday afternoon. 

For the men, senior Ali Karatas entered the top 10 of finishers by placing tenth with a time of 17:09. Freshman Albin Freiholtz was a few slots outside of the top half of finishers, placing 33rd with an 18:47.4

For the women, freshman Marley Gandee enjoyed the first college competition of her career by placing 10th of 56 competitors, crossing the line at 20:19.1. Fellow freshman Mary Willitts was 29th, securing a time of 23:07.3.

What's Next?

North Park heads north for the Vic Godfrey Open on Saturday, September 6 to compete at Wayne E. Dannehl Nattional Cross Country Course.
