CHICAGO, Ill. – For the second time in his North Park career, senior catcher Ranko Stevanovic has earned All-Region 8 recognition by D3baseball.com. Stevanovic was selected to the third team, the same honors he picked up in 2019.

Stevanovic finished his Viking career leading the 2022 squad in hits (54), home runs (9), total bases (96), slugging percentage (.600), and RBIs (47). He maintained a .432 on-base percentage while slugging 11 doubles and a pair of triples. Additionally, Stevanovic scored 39 runs and stole four bases. Behind the plate, Stevanovic nabbed nine would-be base stealers and allowed just 16 stolen bases all season. He held a fielding percentage of .979 with 62 assists, as he also spent 15 games as a third baseman.
This season, Stevanovic had 15 multi-hit games, including two games with four hits. He carried out a 17-game hitting streak and drove in 1.15 runners per game.
Stevanovic is a three-time All-College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) pick and is now a two-time All-Region pick.
