WHEATON, Ill. -- The North Park track & field program took advantage of perfect weather this past weekend at Wheaton College as they tallied four top-10 all-time performances and 31 personal bests. Altogether it was a historic day for North Park as a 20-year-old school record was set by the men's 4x100 meter relay.
Once again, the men's 4x100 Meter relay team set the tone for the meet as they ran the fastest time in school history. The men's 4x100 relay of Michael Kleiner, Jereme Ombogo, Silas Madrigal & Terence Hollis finished 2nd at the Wheaton meet with a time of 42.29.
Senior Terence Hollis had a great meet as he finished 2nd in the 100-meter dash running a time of 10.83 as well as running a time of 22.26 in the 200-meter dash.
Junior Clark Fremouw had a standout day with his biggest marks coming in the shot put and hammer. He finished 6th place in the hammer as well as 9th place in the shot put and discus. His throw of 14.00m in the shot put is now 6th all-time as well as hammer throw is now 8th all-time.
Sophomore Sean Sanaghan had himself a day as well, as he ran the 5000-meter run in a time of 16.12.77 which is now 8th all time. He ended up putting on a show towards the end of his race as he was able to pass seven runners in the last 400 meters of his race to finish 2nd in his heat.
Our women's 4x400 had a strong performance as they finished with a time of 4:20.9 which landed them 6th place. The 4x400 consisted of Esther Miller, Rachel Rozen, Macayla Dowling, & Moa Svendsen.
