ALLENDALE, Mich. -- The North Park University men's and women's track & field program competed at the Grand Valley State University Tune-Up this past weekend. Team scores were not taken, but a number of Vikings continued to eclipse personal records. led by senior Terence Hollice in the 60m.

"I'm really pleased that we were able to compete at this last meet, which is a tune-up for the CCIW Conference Championships this weekend. We were able to get everyone through, pretty much without any major injuries, which bodes well and allows us to train and do our final prep work. We had some really good performances this weekend as well; some of the marks are really encouraging. Overall, the biggest thing I'm pleased with is that we were able to cap things off without setbacks to our student-athletes. We're looking forward to the final prep work before the CCIW Conference Championships."  

Top Performers   

The highest individual finisher on the day for North Park came from senior Terence Hollis as he continued his PR streak in the 60m, lowering it to 7.00 seconds to finish first overall. That time also ranks 2^nd in school history. Hollis also ran the 200m with a time of 22.85, which also ranks 5^th in school history. 

Junior Patrycja Miazek has been running well all year at distances ranging from 400m to 5000m, and on Friday she recorded the 2^nd fastest mile in school history. Her time of 5:19.92 is also a personal best. 

Sophomore jumper Jason Adkinson had the other top-five finish for the Vikings in the triple jump as he finished 2^nd in the meet with a jump of 12.06m (39'7") 

Michael Kleiner, Jalen Rios, Silas Madrigal and Sean Sanaghan finish 3^rd in the 4x400 relay with a time of 3:33.17, which moves them up to 6^th all-time in school history. In addition to the 4x400, Sanaghan also set PR's in the mile with a time of 4:31.88 which moves him up to 5^th all-time in school history.

• Brianne Roley is now 2^nd all-time in NPU history for the Pole Vault 
• Sean Sanaghan is now 5^th all-time in NPU history for the mile 
• Terence Hollis is now 2^nd all-time in NPU history for the 60 Meter Dash as well as 5^th all-time in the 200 meter dash.
