NAPERVILLE, Ill. – Senior middle blocker Niki Ahlstrand ended her career on a high note, receiving CCIW Player of the Week honors after a pair of outstanding performances against North Central College and Carroll University.
Ahlstrand, a senior middle blocker from Morton Grove, Ill. and Maine East High School, helped lead the Vikings to a pair of conference wins to close out the season. She had nine kills, hit .471 and added three digs and five blocks in a three-set win over North Central on October 30. Ahlstrand added a season-high 16 kills, hit .444 and had four digs in a five-set win over Carroll on November 2.
