NAPERVILLE, Ill. -- North Park Women's Volleyball put a pair of Vikings on the 2025 All-College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) list, as the league office announced its selections on Monday afternoon. Senior libero Carolina Aviles and junior middle blocker Meg Rothermel both landed on the second team.

Aviles, a four-year starting libero and now a three-time all-conference pick, tied for the league lead with 20 aces in league play and was third in the league rankings with 126 digs. She had double-digit dig totals in all but two conference matches and boasted six aces at Augustana. The Guaynabo, Puerto Rico libero concludes her career third all-time in aces (212) and also second all-time in digs (1,925). 

Rothermel, on the all-conference team for the second time in three seasons, led the conference with 32 blocks against CCIW opponents, and her 12 solo blocks was far-and-ahead the top total. The Cary, Illinois middle blocker averaged nearly a block per set and drove 65 kills, the second-best mark on the Vikings. She hit .278 against CCIW opponents and boasted seven blocks against Millikin. Rothermel had four CCIW matches with 4+ blocks and she was the CCIW Offensive Player of the Week on September 29.

Additionally, Cassidy Mullens was named North Park's representative for the CCIW RESPECT Award.

RESPECT Award
At the conclusion of every sports season, each varsity program will recognize one student-athlete as their RESPECT Award honoree. RESPECT Award recipients have distinguished themselves as an integral member of the team, their institution and community by upholding the values of Responsibility, Enthusiasm, Service, Pride, Excellence, Collaboration and Trust. The RESPECT Award recognizes the intangible traits a student-athlete possesses that exemplify great character and encourages inclusiveness and a positive culture.
