Adams Inks Contract With Gateway Grizzlies

CHICAGO, IL -

After helping guide the Vikings to a 2nd place finish in the CCIW Tournament, North Park baseball's everyday catcher, Cam Adams, has signed a contract with the Gateway Grizzlies.

Adams spent almost every game behind the plate for the Vikings and secured himself in the middle of the order the entire season. The Johnsburg, Illinois native finished his senior season batting .305 with a team-best 40 RBIs, 15 doubles, and 15 hit-by-pitches. Adams also cracked 4 homers, a triple, and scored 28 runs for the Vikings. Defensively, Adams nabbed 14 would-be base stealers and fielded at a .978 clip.

About the Grizzlies
The Gateway Grizzlies are members of the Frontier League, a professional, independent baseball organization featuring teams that have no affiliation with major league baseball.  The league was formed in 1993, and it's the oldest current running independent league.

North Park baseball finished 4th in the CCIW with a conference record of 13-11. As the 4th seed in the CCIW Tournament, the Vikings took down Augustana and Carthage College to finish as the Tournament's runner-up.
