Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 | Box Score 3 | Box Score 4

North Park withstood some of the toughest competition it's faced this season at the Pumpkin Bash hosted by Augustana College in Rock Island Friday and Saturday, and came away with some solid performances.

Although NP lost matches to host and fellow College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin foe Augustana College (3-1), Wartburg College (3-0) and Central College (3-0), the Vikings earned a strong 25-18, 25-21, 25-23 victory over William Penn University behind a 16-kill performance from junior Neisha Bolian. Bolian, who averaged 2.85 kills per set as she totaled 37 over the two-day tourney, hit at a whopping .750 against WPU as she committed only one hitting error in 20 attempts. Senior outside hitter Shelby Switzer, who continues to rank in the top-ten in both kills per set and points per set in all of NCAA Division III, finished with 13 kills in the three-set victory. Sophomore Abigail McKowen recorded a perfect 1.000 hitting percentage as she dished out 29 assists, and both sophomore Alexis Clay and senior Julia Bakken finished in double-figure digs with 14 and 11, respectively.

Other solid cumulative numbers belonged to Switzer, who averaged 4.0 kills per set as she tallied 52 in the four-match event. McKowen added 109 total assists and Bakken finished with an impressive 58 digs to average nearly five per set (4.46).

On the defensive end, North Park averaged 1.12 blocks per set with Bolian garnering six total blocks. The Vikings also averaged 10.54 kills per set as they finished with 137 total kills.

North Park (10-19) returns to action Tuesday night when the Vikings host Wheaton College for their regular season home finale at 7 p.m.
