ROCKFORD, Ill. -- North Park Men's Golf enjoyed a fantastic start to the 2026 College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) championship at Aldeen Golf Club before settling in at sixth place (301, 311, 308) to conclude the event.

In round one, North Park enjoyed 15 birdies as William Trainor and Alexander Remahl ranked in the upper half of competitors. Remahl finished day one a stroke under par, enjoying a 34 on the back nine with three birdies and only one shot over par. North Park shot their event-best 301 on the three-day championship, slotted tied for second after 18 holes.

The field caught up to North Park on day two, as three teams shot 300 or better, including a pair of teams in Illinois Wesleyan (292) and Carthage (294) breaking 300.

Trainor, Felix Pettersson, and Lucan Meade all shot five over par on day two. Trainor shot a 35 on the front nine while Pettersson and Meade enjoyed 36's. Pettersson further improved on his front-nine play on day three by shooting a 33, carding four birdies on par 4's and 3's.

Trainor led the Vikings with a +13 finish to place t15 and earn second-team all-conference. Remahl also grabbed a top-20 placing at t19 (+14) to secure second-team all-conference while Pettersson was just outside of the top 20 with a +15.
