CHICAGO, Ill. -- Three Vikings from North Park University Track & Field saw their names on the 2026 U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Division III All-Midwest team, as the organization announced its selections on Wednesday afternoon. Riana Hayes (60m, 200m), Julia Klein (Pole Vault), and Wesley McCloud (High Jump) reeled in All-Region honors for the Blue & Gold.
Hayes enjoyed four first-place finishes in 60m races this season, including setting a personal and school record at the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Indoor Championships on February 28 with a 7.59. She was also the CCIW's 200m champion, grabbing five total first-place finishes this indoor season. Hayes, the second-best Midwest region runner in both the 60 and 200, qualified for the NCAA Championships in the 60m and will compete on the national stage on Friday afternoon in Birmingham, Alabama.

Klein grabbed a pair of first-place finishes in the Pole Vault this year, including a school record of 3.81m at the Aurora Grand Prix in late January. Klein was the third-place finisher at the CCIW Outdoor Championships last spring and her vault of 3.81m ranked fourth in the Midwest region this indoor season.

McCloud made the smooth transition from one field to another, concluding his football career as a go-to wide receiver before re-joining the Vikings this indoor season as a pint-scoring jumper. He was the third-place finisher at the 2025 CCIW Outdoor Championships and marked a program second-best with a 1.98m mark in the High Jump to rank eighth in the region.

The top-8 individuals in each event from each region on the year-end Descending Order Lists earned All-Region distinction, in addition to each member of the region's top-8 relay teams. The regions used for this award – East, Great Lakes, Metro, Mid-Atlantic, Mideast, Midwest, Niagara, North, South, and West – match those used during the cross country season.
