CHICAGO, Ill. -- Freshman Tyra Olsson helped guide North Park Tennis to three wins last week, leading to the Vikings' first College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Player of the Week nod on Wednesday morning.

Olsson started the week by enjoying a 6-0 sweep in doubles alongside partner Alexandra Pugachova in a 6-1 North Park win over Millikin on September 30, getting a strong conference week in motion for the Vikings.

Next, in a neutral contest against Augustana, Olsson and Pugachova enjoyed a 6-4 win in the No. 1 doubles position before Olsson secured the No. 4 singles win in come-from-behind fashion. After dropping the first set, 6-3, Olsson won set two 6-4 before extra play in a 7-6 win guided NPU to a tiebreaking win over Augustana.

Olsson rounded out the week with a dominant singles performance against Carroll on Sunday. Against the Pioneers, she was the most convincing win of the afternoon, enjoying a 6-0, 6-1 win in the No. 4 position as North Park beat Carroll at River Park, 5-2.

Olsson and the Vikings are back in action on Wednesday afternoon, hosting Saint Mary's College for a 3:30 PM match.
