CHICAGO, Ill. -- North Park Women's Tennis suffered only its second sweeping loss of the 2026 fall season, falling to Saint Mary's on Wednesday night.
North Park performed well in doubles play, with the Belles and the Vikings evenly matched throughout. No. 1 doubles of Alexandra Pugachova and Tyra Olsson fell in extra play, 7-5, as did No. 2 of Katharina Schuler and Isabelle Richter, falling 7-6.
No. 5 singles player Thea Gifvars was the lone Viking to take a set from her Belle opponent. After dropping the first, 6-1, Gifvars grabbed the 6-2 second-set victory before a lengthy third set saw SMC's Pischalko break through.

North Park (5-4, 4-2) moves back into conference play on Saturday, October 10, traveling to face Elmhurst University at 9:00 AM CT.
