GALENA, Ill. – The North Park men's golf team placed third among seven teams at the Clarke University Fall Invite, taking place on the North Course at Eagle Ridge Resort.
Felix Pettersson paced the Vikings with a two-round score of 150, tying for third in the 34-player field. Pettersson opened the tournament with an even-par 72 before closing with a 78.
Oliver Parkner joined Pettersson inside the top 10, tying for seventh at 153. Parkner improved by one stroke in the final round, following an opening-round 77 with a 76.
Lucan Meade and Maximilian Demen tied for 14th with two-round totals of 160. Meade posted matching rounds of 80, while Demen carded a 77 and an 83. Jack Groves rounded out North Park's lineup in a tie for 18th, shooting a 79 and an 82 for a 161 total.
The Vikings finished behind only St. Ambrose and tournament host Clarke in the seven-team field.

North Park concludes its season early next week (Oct. 12-13) traveling to Flossmoor, Illinois for the Midwest Tiger Invite.
