NAPERVILLE, Ill. -- After leading all Division III competitors at the 21st Annual Akron Invite this past Friday, Jereme Ombogo picked up his second College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Indoor Track & Field Athlete of the Week honor on Wednesday afternoon.

Ombogo was the top DIII athlete in the 200m finals, finishing just .15 seconds behind the event's winner, Akron's AJ Jordan, with a time of 21.62.  He was also a top-5 finisher in the 400m, finishing fifth of 21 with a mark of 48.97. Among CCIW sprinters, Ombogo takes the top position in both the 200m and 400m. 

On January 13th, Ombogo tied a CCIW all-time record in the 60m with a time of 6.78, earning CCIW and USTFCCCA National Athlete of the Week honors. 

Ombogo is the only repeat honoree on the CCIW's weekly list this season.
