WHITEWATER, Wis. -- North Park Track & Field had a pair of "MVP" performances on both the Women's and Men's side at the UW-Whitewater Karl Schlender Invite on Saturday.
Hayes has had three top 2 placings in sprints, taking home the top spot in the 60m finals with a time of 7.78. She was also second in the 200m (26.03) and her 4x200m team alongside Jayla Sotelo, Julia Klein, and Meja Lindberg finished second (1:52.69, 8pts) as Hayes reeled in Overall MVP honors.
Ombogo was the top finisher on the men's side, winning the 200m by nearly a full second (21.72) and placing third in the 60m (6.81) to bring in 16 points for the Vikings en-route to another MVP honor for NPU Track.
Ubayd Kromwell was in the top-half of finishers in the 200m, placing ninth (23.55) and picked up two points in the Long Jump (7th, 6.45m). Kromwell, Tim Singmandeewised, James Boldware, and Jordan Brazil further helped North Park in the points column, scoring six in the 4x200m (3rd, 1:34.25). Ali Karatas was fourth of 18 in the 800m at 2:20.50 to score five points.
Thea Ring added six points in the 200m (26.10) and six more in the Long Jump (3rd, 5.23m) as did Klein (6th, 4.91m).
