NAPERVILLE, Ill. -- A handful of top-10 performances helped guide the North Park track & field team to a solid showing at North Central's First Chance Meet on Friday, April 7.
The meet was highlighted by freshman Maria Bugge breaking NPU's Hammer School Record that was set by Mia Riccolo four years ago. Bugge finished 6th overall with a mark of 45.81m (150'3") which is now 16th in the Midwest across Division III track and field.
Senior Clark Fremouw had a standout day with his biggest marks coming in the shot put (14.21m) and Hammer throw (46.13m), finishing sixth, respectively, in the events.
Over in the 5K, Patrycja Miazek shaved more than 4 seconds off her previous personal record to finish in sixth place with a time of 18:16.51. That time places her 3rd in school history.

Next up the Vikings will travel west to Wheaton College on April 14 & 15 for the Wheaton Invite. The Vikings will also travel to California for the Bryan Clay and Long Beach Invite- Esther Miller and Patrycja Miazek will be participating.
