NAPERVILLE, Ill. – For the first time in program history, North Park women's tennis had two members honored with all-conference recognition by the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW). Junior #1 singles player Hanna Zethraeus received first-team honors and sophomore #2 singles player Alexandra Ristfeldt secured second-team recognition, as the league announced the 2023 picks on Monday afternoon.

Zethraeus, who joined North Park via Stockholm, Sweden, established an 11-match singles winning streak this season, representing a new all-time mark for NPU Tennis. She won five of eight #1 singles matches in league play and was a winning partner in five of eight doubles matches. Zethraeus and sophomore Teodora Kraljevic gave league champion North Central a run for their money on Oct. 7, narrowly losing the contest 8-7.

Ristfeldt, who also joined North Park via Stockholm, Sweden won six of eight singles matches this fall season. Her only singles losses in this season were tightly contested, with a three-set loss to Wheaton (1-6, 7-6, 0-6) and a 6-7, 2-6 loss to North Central. More impressively, Ristfeldt was an undefeated doubles partner to Zethraeus, junior Maddie Starr, and freshman Katarina Carlberg through the entire 2023 season.

Additionally, sophomore Carla Cazes was the North Park representative for the CCIW's RESPECT Award.
