CHICAGO, Ill. -- Jereme Ombogo's elite resume on and off the field of play for North Park Football was honored on Tuesday morning when the College Sports Communicators (CSC) named him to the 2025 Academic All-American team. Ombogo was one of three College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) players to secure a first-team nod.
Ombogo was a First Team All-CCIW returner for North Park again this season while also showcasing as a premier wide receiver. He led the CCIW with 29.3 kick return yards per attempt and also logged 439 punt return yards, including a 97-yard TD return. He totaled 1,058 all-purpose yards including 428 receiving yards on 27 receptions, resulting in five touchdowns.
A standout two-sport athlete, Ombogo is a three-time All-American in Track & Field, becoming a 10-time record holder in a number of sprinting events. Last winter, he tied the CCIW all-time record in the 60m Dash (6.78) and became the first Viking ever to earn USTFCCCA National Indoor Athlete of the Week. That same season he picked up Second Team Academic All-American honors by the CSC.
Ombogo is North Park's President of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) for three years, acting as the primary representative for all NPU student-athletes in governance and communication. He boasts an undergraduate GPA of 3.94 through his studies in Marketing & Economics and is now pursuing a graduate degree in Leadership. Ombogo has made the Dean's List in eight-consecutive semesters and is a two-time Jack Swartz Award recipient.
"Being named a First Team Academic All-American is a tremendous honor, especially when reflecting on the injuries and adversity I've had to overcome throughout my journey," said Ombogo. "Through it all, God continued to open doors and provide me with the opportunity to grow, persevere, and compete at a high level both academically and athletically. I'm extremely thankful for my faith, my family, my coaches, and North Park University for supporting me every step of the way."
CSC Academic All-District and All-American honorees are nominated by each institution's Sports Information/Athletic Communications team or other CSC members. The Division III Academic All-America® program is financially supported by the NCAA Division III national governance structure to assist the College Sports Communicators with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2025-26 Division III Academic All-America® program.
