CHICAGO, Ill. -- North Park Football sent eight players, the maximum available, to the 2024 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District® Team on Tuesday morning. North Park was one of five schools to see eight players recognized, joining Carroll, Illinois Wesleyan, North Central, and WashU.
Egan Bender, Carson Blatchford, Joshua De Luca, Reid Huseman, Cade McKinstry, Johnathon Miller, Jereme Ombogo, and Cole Woodward were all recognized for their contributions on and off the field. Ombogo's resume got the nod for All-American consideration, set to be released at the end of January.
The 2024-25 Academic All-District® Football Team, selected by College Sports Communicators and nominated by sports information personnel, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The annual award recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes football honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
In all, 14 of the CCIW honorees were designated as CSC Academic All-America® finalists and will advance to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced Jan. 28. Those individuals are denoted with an asterisk below.
