Pair of quality competitions for North Park Golf

The North Park men's and women's golf teams had a pair of successful meets in their recent competitions. The Vikings' men's team was 5th of 15 at the Bluejay Spring Invite on Tuesday, shooting 315, while the women took home first-place in a tri-meet with Benedictine and Wheaton on Wednesday afternoon.

Carson Diaz led the men's team with a +5 finish, good for T18 mark of 88 competitors. Diaz shot a 77. Juan Olmos and Tommy Taylor both shot a 78 (+6) to finish T22.

The North Park women took home their first-ever top finish at an event in program history, besting the Benedictine and Wheaton golf programs with a one-day total of 381. Amber Fellows led the Vikings women's team with an 85 while Kelly Deterding was a stroke behind at 86.
