NAPERVILLE, Ill. -- Thanks to quality individual performances against ranked competition last week, North Park Women's Volleyball saw two players earn College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) weekly honors on Monday afternoon. Senior setter Mary Kate Giesen was the league's Setter of the Week while senior outside hitter Adriana Rodriguez picked up her second Offensive Player of the Week accolade of 2024.

Giesen boasted 30+ assists in three different three-set matches last week, including a career second best of 41 at No. 8-ranked WashU on Saturday. Giesen had a career high four aces in the Vikings' sweep of Wheaton and was also in on three blocks against the Thunder. For the Week, she totaled 103 assists, five aces, 14 digs, and four blocks.

Rodriguez became North Park's all-time points leader last week, closing in on the 2,000-point mark at 1,982.5. She reached double-digit kill totals in each of last week's three set matches, including 22 at WashU. Rodriguez hit .452 against Wheaton, a season high, and was in on three blocks last week. She added 25 digs and a pair of aces to her quality week.
