CHICAGO, Ill. -- North Park senior setter Kendal Britton continues to rewrite the program record book, earning her seventh career College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Setter of the Week award and setting a new North Park Volleyball record in the process.
The honor comes on the heels of another milestone weekend for Britton, who surpassed the 2,000-career assist mark during North Park's match against nationally 14th-ranked Calvin.
Britton helped pace the Vikings through a demanding four-match week, totaling 129 assists over 16 sets while averaging 8.06 assists per set. She also contributed 52 digs, 11 kills, eight blocks, and four service aces.
The senior opened the week with 34 assists and 18 digs in a four-set victory over Benedictine before recording 28 assists and 11 digs against Trine. Britton then reached the 2,000-assist milestone against Calvin, becoming the latest Viking to join the prestigious club. She capped the weekend with a season-high 52 assists while directing the offense in a five-set win over Alma.
Britton and company will play their toughest match of the season this week, heading to No. 2 Illinois Wesleyan on Wednesday, October 14, for a match at the Shirk Center in Bllomington.
