AURORA, Ill. -- The North Park men's volleyball team suffered a 3-0 (25-14, 25-20, 25-13) road loss to Aurora on Friday night, snapping a four-match win streak for the Vikings.
Aurora aced the Vikings 12 times while maintaining a .282 hitting percentage. The Spartans also managed six blocks and 38 digs, holding North Park to a .091 hitting percentage.Â
The Vikings' most competitive set was the second when Sam robinson drove an ace, Vicente Cabrera marked a pair of kills, and Ty Ingrao added a kill of his own to leap ahead, 10-6. North Park held Aurora to just a .182 attacking consistency in the set, but couldn't hold on, falling 25-20.
Emmanuel led the match with 11 kills while Aurora's John McCormack followed with nine. McCormack also had an impressive six aces and three blocks to aid in the win.
North Park (4-3) is back at home this coming Tuesday, Feb. 7, against Marian. First serve is set for 7pm.
