2022-23 All-CCIW Team
NAPERVILLE, Ill. – North Park men's basketball saw three transfers selected to the 2022-23 All-College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) team, as the league announced its picks on Monday afternoon. Shamar Pumphrey and Kolden Vanlandingham were named to the first team while Marquise Jackson garnered second team accolades.

Pumphrey, a junior guard who transferred to North Park from Aurora, showcased as one of the best all-around players in the CCIW this season. In league action, he stole a CCIW-best 45 passes (tied with Jackson), totaled a second-best 71 assists, and was 17th with 12.4 points per game. He shot 43.9% from the field and 73.7% from the free-throw line. Through the regular season, his +2.58 assist/turnover ratio ranked 21st in Division III and his 63 steals were 18th.

Vanlandingham, a sophomore guard who transferred in from Earlham, was a top-three scoring threat in CCIW games this season. Against CCIW opponents, he averaged 16.0 PPG and totaled 256 points (3rd in the CCIW), buried 30 threes (4th in the CCIW), stole 26 passes (4th in the CCIW), shot 32.35 from deep (6th in the CCIW), and shot 71% from the free-throw line (9th in the CCIW). In regular season action, his 110 free throws rank 37th across Division III hoops. Vanlandingham posted a career high 34 points at Benedictine (12/31) and 32 points at Elmhurst (2/11).

Jackson, a senior guard who transferred in from Lewis, overpowered CCIW opponents with quickness and athleticism. Jackson tied Pumphrey for the CCIW lead with 45 steals and ended the regular season with 68, good for 9th in the country. In league action, his 47 assists were 6th in the CCIW. Finally, in his 24 games played, Jackson's 2.96 steals per game ranked 6th in Division III basketball.

Additionally, Jalen Boyd was selected by Coach Sean Smith as North Park's RESPECT Awardee. The 2022 All-CCIW selection averaged 11.5 PPG, pulled down 59 rebounds, scored 77 threes, and stole 24 passes in league action.
