WHEATON, Ill. -- The North Park Women's Volleyball team went out to Wheaton and made light work out of the Thunder, winning three sets to none (25-13, 30-28, 25-15) on Wednesday night.
Junior outside hitter Adriana Rodriguez led the team in kills with 14, bringing her to a CCIW-leading 253 on the season and likely remaining in the top five across Division III volleyball. Rodriguez was followed by junior middle blocker Shamyia Collier with 10.

As for aces, the Vikings controlled the night 13-3. This was on the backs of senior setters Christina Gatta and Jenna Jones who each tallied four. This is the ninth match where the Vikings have reached double-digit aces.
Three Vikings reached double-digit dig totals: sophomore libero Carolina Aviles (17), Gatta (14), and Rodriguez (11).
Gatta also picked up 30 assists in just the three sets tonight, bringing her season total to a CCIW-leading 567.
All-Time Winning Streak Tied
Coach Michael Sopocy's team has tied the longest North Park women's volleyball winning streak (12 matches), dating back to when now-Associate AD Susan Zimmer's 2000 team started the season 12-0. Zimmer's 1999 squad won the CCIW Tournament consolation match, so the number to beat for consecutive wins sits at 13.
