DECATUR, Ill. – The North Park men's golf team finished third of 12 teams at Millikin's Take Back the Night Challenge this past weekend. The Vikings posted scores of 311 and 312 in the meet.

Max Golding had a strong showing for the Vikings this weekend carding a 74-73 (+3) performance. He finished 3rd out of 72 players. "We all knew he was going to breakthrough at some point," said coach Ryan Frederick "and the timing is fantastic as we approach the Conference Championship."

Jack Haberkorn continued to impress as well. He made a few unforced errors but managed 76-79 (+11) in tough conditions. The veteran finished 16th place out of 72 players. 

"I am proud of the way the guys battled in consistent 30mph winds on the final day," said Coach Frederick. "We knew it was going to be a mental battle in those conditions and our guys fought from start to finish. The discipline that this team needed to stay focused in a 6+ hour round, combined with extreme wind, displays incredible grit."
