Moline, Ill. – Despite a five-run outburst in the top of the third inning, the North Park baseball team fell to Augustana College by a score of 9-5 Wednesday evening at Swanson Stadium.
After falling behind 5-0 early, North Park rallied in the third. Conner Woods got his first career hit and RBI when he drove home Justin Swanson on a double to kick off the scoring for NPU. After Woods scored, Justin Woolbright bagged a two-RBI knock, and Bobby Bartlett drove home Woolbright with a base-hit of his own to even the score at five. That was all the North Park offense could muster, though, as Augie scored four more runs to come away with the 9-5 victory. Woolbright had a solid outing in relief, allowing only one run over four innings of work.
