CHICAGO, Ill. -- Following a win over 14th-ranked North Central College on Saturday night, the North Park University men's soccer program climbed 11 spots to No. 12 according to voting done in the D3soccer.com National Top 25 Poll, released Tuesday morning.
The Vikings enjoyed a 2-1 overtime win over No. 14 North Central this past Saturday, thanks to goals by Peder Olsen and Jesse Anamoo. The hard-fought battle must have caught the eyes of the D3soccer.com pollsters, as the Vikings skyrocket from No. 23 last week, to No. 12 this week.
Additionally, Division III Men's Soccer Massey Ratings put the Vikings as the fourth-best overall team in the nation alongside the best offense.
The United Soccer Coaches (USC) Top 25 poll is expected to be released this afternoon, while the NCAA Regional rankings will come out tomorrow, October 20.
