CHICAGO, Ill. -- North Park Men's Soccer put three players on the 2025 United Soccer Coaches All-Region VIII team, as the organization announced its picks on Tuesday afternoon. All three Vikings were repeat members - Bastian Eikeland and Hugo Neborg on the third team and Christian Vaaland on the fourth team.
Eikeland boasted six goals in 2025, including goals in CCIW Tournament games against Carroll and Wheaton. He led NPU in Points (12), Goals (6), and Shots on Goal (17). He also led North Park with three conference goals and tied for the team lead with eight shots on frame. The Stavanger, Norway native enjoyed a two-goal game against Millikin and logged at least one shot goal in all but one of the conference games he played in. Eikeland was also a Third Team All-Region honoree by the USC in his 2024 freshman season.

Neborg tallied a goal and assist this season, playing in four of North Park's shutouts in 2025. The 2024 CCIW Defender of the Year and caption once again caused headaches for opposing offenses, not shying away from aggressive play on and away from the ball. The 2024 All-American from Halmstad, Sweden also assisted on the go-ahead goal at Carroll, guiding North Park to a 2-1 victory over the Pioneers. This is Neborg's third time on the All-Region team, earning Third Team honors in 2023 and a First Team nod in 2024.

Vaaland tallied a pair of goals in his final season at North Park, firing seven shots on goal. He was also on the field for four of North Park's shutouts. Another captain in the backfield, the Stavanger, Norway defender was a physical presence for the Viking defense, continually finding the right position to spoil his opponents' set pieces. The now three-time All-Region pick (2021, 2023, 2025) also had a timely goal for North Park when he rocketed a close free kick strike with just seconds left on the clock at Elmhurst's Langhorst Field to lift the Vikings over the Bluejays.
