NEW ORLEANS, La. -- David Simmons, Jr. continues to make a name for himself, intercepting a pass from Ohio State's J.T. Barrett at the New Orleans Saints organized team activities (OTAs) this past Thursday, May 23.
"If you're good, they're going to find you" Simmons told Rod Walker of "The New Orleans Advocate" on May 12. Not only was Simmons found as an undrafted free agent signing by the New Orleans Saints, he is also drawing the attention of media members and coaches for his on-field performances.
The media interviewed 13th-year head coach Sean Payton, asking "...the individual that came up with the interception - where's North Park?"
Check out his response below:
Walker reported the interception in 'The New Orleans Advocate', saying, "David Simmons, a speedy cornerback who played collegiately at North Park University, had the lone interception on Thursday. Simmons picked off a pass from J.T. Barrett. Simmons is an undrafted rookie free agent who played at the Division III school located in Chicago."
