Webster struck for two runs in the fifth and broke away from a 1-1 first inning tie to earn a 5-1 win over North Park Sunday morning at GCS Ballpark in Sauget, Illinois.
The Gorloks plated a run in the third via a sacrifice fly to move ahead 2-1, and a run-scoring single and an error gave the hosts two more to send Vikings pitcher Jimmy Park to his first loss of the season.
NP took a 1-0 lead in the first inning when Caleb Layden singled and scored on Anthony Bragg's RBI groundout to third base, but the Vikings couldn't overcome nine Gorlok hits.
Both Layden and Tyler Woolbright went 2 for 3 at the plate as North Park finished with eight total hits.
RBI singles from both Jacob Woosley (seventh inning) Mitchell Jordan (eighth) factored in NP's offensive production in its 11-2 setback in the nightcap against Buena Vista University. Sean Eder suffered the loss on the mound as he worked five innings. He struck out seven batters and induced five fly ball outs.
North Park (1-2) returns to action Saturday and Sunday when it travels to Hendrix College in Conway, Arizona for a three-game series starting at 1 p.m.
