CHICAGO, IL (November 5, 2011) – The North Park football team lost 33-21 to host Millikin University in College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin action Saturday afternoon.

Junior Matt Hassan ran for a career-high 192 yards on 35 carries with a touchdown, while sophomore John Barnabee added 57 yards rushing on six carries and a touchdown.

North Park tallied its first touchdown of the contest late in the first half when Hassan culminated a 62-yard drive with a two-yard run. The Vikings then put together two TD scoring drives back-to-back on a Barnabee 39-yard run and nine-yard scoring scamper from sophomore Jon Williams, ending a 96-yard drive to trim the deficit to 27-21 with 14 minutes left in the contest. But Millikin added one more touchdown eight minutes later to finish off the scoring.

In all, North Park garnered 384 yards of total offense, including 321 yards rushing, to Millikin's 320.

North Park (3-6, 0-6) closes out the 2011 season when it travels to Naperville for its CCIW finale with North Central College at 1 p.m.
