CHICAGO (November 12, 2011) — The North Park football team ended the 2011 season with a 35-0 loss to host North Central College in College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin action Saturday afternoon.

Despite the loss, North Park finished the season with it head held high as the Vikings put together their first three-game winning streak since the 2005 season. Additionally, North Park led the conference in rushing yards and showed the CCIW it will be a team to be reckoned with in the coming years as it lost two of its last four games by only six points.

Junior Matt Hassan led the Vikings' ground attack Saturday in Naperville, as he put together his fifth-straight 100-yard rushing game with 132 yards on 27 carries. Hassan had a career-high 192 yards rushing against Millikin the previous week and averaged 139.2 yards per game in the last five weeks.

Senior Evan Rhoads added 46 yards on 13 carries as North Park accumulated 288 yards of total offense, 264 yards on the ground. Defensively, junior Andrew Saltzman recorded eight tackles, six solo, and the Vikings caused two fumbles.

North Park ends the season with a 3-7 overall record.
