Sopocy enters his first year as an assistant for the Vikings.  He graduated in 2005 from Bowling Green State University where he was a four-year member of the Men's Club Volleyball Team.  He also coached the Women's Club Volleyball team for three years and served as an Assistant Coach for the Women's Varsity team in 2004.  In addition, Sopocy served as volunteer position coach at Cleveland State University in 2006.

He currently serves as the Girls' Program Director and Recruiting Coordinator at Energy Volleyball Club in Niles, IL.
