Lauren Rosengarden

Coach Rosengarden enters her sixth season with the Vikings. She graduated from Johnsburg High School in 2002.  She helped lead the Skyhawks to two straight Big North Conference Championships and was named a unanimous All-Conference selection for two consecutive seasons, All-Area team, and team MVP. In 2002 she continued her education at McHenry County College where she was an academic standout. She was named to the Skyway Academic All-Conference team, earned Phi Theta Kappa honors recognition and was also on the Dean’s List. On the floor she was a captain and helped lead the team to two Skyway Conference titles.

North Park was Rosengarden’s next and final stop as a collegiate player. Continuing her academic excellence, she was awarded CCIW Academic All-Conference, spent semesters on the Dean’s or President’s list and graduated Cum Laude in 2006 with her B.A. in Communication, Media Studies. Unfortunately, Rosengarden’s North Park basketball career was one of adversity and injury as she suffered two ACL tears in subsequent seasons. While at North Park, Rosengarden was a part of the last North Park Women’s Basketball team to make the CCIW tournament and is eager to help coach a Vikings team baCoach Rosengarden has been coaching the game of basketball for 11 years at various levels. Her collegiate coaching career started as an assistant at Judson University where she spent the 2007-2008 season. Continuing her love for the game Rosengarden works perennially with AAU top travel programs. From 08’-10,’ Rosengarden coached at Regina Dominican High School under the mentorship of IBCA Hall of Fame coach, Jim Russo. There they won a Regional Championship and made it to the Championship game of the Sweet 16 before falling to her alma mater, Johnsburg. On the side, Rosengarden has worked with players of all levels in individual skill sessions. Several of her clients are currently playing college ball or will be in the upcoming seasons.

Rosegarden is a very proud mother of three, Quinn 10, Brady 7, and Gwenyth 3. In her free time there in nothing more fulfilling to her than spending quality time with her future Vikings!
