High School: Was a three-year letter winner as a pitcher and a catcher for the baseball team…Served as a team captain his senior year and earned All-Jackie Robinson North Conference honors as well as All-City honors…Helped lead the team to a city finals runner-up finish his sophomore year…Led the team in earned run average, strikeouts and innings pitched.
